METHOD FOR USAGE RESTRICTION OF ILLEGAL MOBILE TERMINAL AND ILLEGAL SMART CARD AND SYSTEM THEREOF

A method and a system for restricting a use for an illegal mobile terminal and an illegal smart card are provided to restrict a use for a subscriber terminal or a smart card illegally used by using an OTA(On The Air) message, thereby preventing personal information stored in the smart card from being leaked and preventing a charge for a mobile communication service illegally used from being misused. A method for restricting a use for an illegal mobile terminal and an illegal smart card comprises the following steps of: receiving a registration request signal including an ID(IDentification) number of a subscriber terminal and an ID number of a smart card inserted into the subscriber terminal; comparing the ID number of the subscriber terminal and the ID number of a smart card with an illegal subscriber terminal list and an illegal smart card list to check whether the subscriber terminal and the smart card are illegally used(S330); and generating a control message for restricting a use for the subscriber terminal and the smart card illegally used and transmitting the control message to the subscriber terminal or the smart card(S352,S354).
