PURPOSE:To make the inner diameter of a tubular combustion chamber smaller, as well as to improve the heat exchanging efficiency in a heat exchanger, by positioning the extended center line of combustion flames so as to run along the slanted section which crosses with the longitudinal center line of a combustion chamber, having suitable angles of inclination, and by biasedly displaced off the extended center line toward the outside of a combustion chamber by a suitable distance. CONSTITUTION:A mixing pipe 20 is installed in a combustion chamber in such a manner that the extended center line B of combustion flames is positioned so as to run along the slanted section C which crosses, having suitable angles of inclination theta, with the longitudinal center line A extended to the discharge side, passing through the center part of a combustion chamber 3, and is also poitioned eccentrically toward the outside of a combustion chamber 3 as much as a suitable distance D to the longitudinal center line A of a combustion chamber 3. Part of combustion gas flows in the direction of an arrow sign F, and is forcibly sucked into the mixing pipe 20 from a circulation-flow inlet port 16 by the negative pressure. The gas diffused in the direction shown by an arrow sign E flows upwardly, spirally circulating along the circumferential direction of the surface 2a' of an inner side wall, exchanging heat with the water in a water chamber 2c, and is discharged outside. By this method, the heat exchanging efficiency can be increased, and the inner diameter of a combustion chamber can be reduced to a smaller size.
