<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the whole size of a device and to read out a bar code always precisely by using a pulse generated in accordance with the moving position of a carriage mounting a bar code printing means and its reading means to decode the bar code. CONSTITUTION:While being moved by the carriage 22, a printing head 25 prints out a bar code on a regulated position of printing paper. Since a pulse disc 19 interlocks with a reading sensor 24, the turning position of the pulse disc 19 corresponds to the moving position of the reading sensor 24 at the rate of 1 to 1. Therefore, the moving speed of the reading sensor 24 is proportional to sampling frequency and array of sampling data after sampling is always fixed independently of the variation of a scanning speed. Since the bar code is decoded by a procedure for sampling a detecting signal sent from the reading sensor 24 by a pulse signal corresponding to the scanning speed (a scanning position), the equipment cost of the whole device can be reduced. Since both the printing means and reading means are mounted on one carriage 22, the equipment cost can be reduced moreover and the whole size of the device can be reduced.</p> |
