The invention relates to the field of sports equipment and concerns a ski for use in different skiing sports. The ski has a box-shaped, essentially rigid middle section (1), as well as a front section (2) and rear section (3) which can be bent slightly upward, are flexible and springy and can be twisted along their longitudinal axis. At the point of transition from the middle section (1) to the rear section (3) in the direction of the rear end of the ski on the one hand, and/or at the point of transition from the middle section (1) to the front section (2) in the direction of the point of the ski on the other hand, are inserted balancing elements (7) made of soft but permanently elastic material. The balancing elements are either inserted irremovably in the ski or are inserted firmly but removably and in a manner whereby they can be exchanged. In the further embodiment of the invention additional balancing elements (9/10; 13; 15; 19) are inserted as appropriate between the balancing elements (7, 8). These additional elements are movable and their displacement alters the tension and flexibility of the ski in a vertical direction. In a still further embodiment the front section (2) and the rear section (3) have a reduced thickness/height compared with the middle section (1) of the ski. |
