<p>PURPOSE:To provide a thermal head wherein hardness and scratch strength are enhanced and a crack due to recrystallization is hardly generated and excellent acid/alkali resistance and good insulating property are imparted, by providing the antiwear protective film for the thermal head based on Si, La, O and N. CONSTITUTION:An antiwear protective film for a thermal head is composed of a Si-La-O-N type substance pref. a substance represented by SiLaxOyNz (wherein x is 0.1X4.0 y is 0.2-6.0 and z is 1.2-3.0). La has the function of adjusting heat expansion but, if La is too little, no sufficient adjustment is performed and, if too much, the film becomes flexible and an antiwear property is reduced. O and N have almost same effect and, if they are too little, the film becomes flexible and the antiwear property is reduced, and, if too much, the film becomes porous and fragile. By this method, harness and scratch strength are enhanced and a crack due to recrystallization is hardly generated and excellent acid/alkali resistance and good insulating property are imparted.</p> |
