PURPOSE:To sharply perform printing without generating blur, by analyzing a printing part or a non-printing part prior to printing data to be printed to perform printing while applying correction for making a heating time long only to the predetermined printing region corresponding to the dot lines of longitudinal and lateral lines printed at first adjacent to the non-printing part. CONSTITUTION:A frame body M having a predetermined shape such as an inverted T-shape is allowed to pass on line image patterns M1-M5 to be printed by a thermal printer prior to printing. By the passage of the above mentioned frame body M, the addresses of the printing parts of the respective dot lines of the longitudinal and lateral lines adjacent to a non-printing part are detected to be stored. On the basis of the memory of said addresses and the order showing the addresses P1-P5 of the predetermined printing part given from a CPU 2, energy to be applied is changed at every heat generator of a thermal head to regulate a heating time to each predetermined printing part. By this method, the respective predetermined line parts of the longitudinal and lateral lines becoming a printing part are printed by performing correction making a heating time longer than that of other printing part. |
