The clinical multi-fluid pumping system has a first pump for combining a first fluid containing blood and a second fluid, metered from two separate sources. It pumps the combined flow into a patient delivery line. The pump has a pump chamber for receiving and combining the fluids having an inlet, an outlet and a drive for varying the volume of the pump chamber. A controller adjusts the ratio of the two fluids combined by the first pump and the total volumetric rate of flow from the first pump. Preferably, the pump employs two pumping chambers, so that one chamber may be refilled while the other is emptying, allowing continuous flow from the pump.
