WATER REPELLENT COATING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water repellent coating material capable of improving supporting properties of microparticles in the same manner as realization of excellent water repellency and further reducing the production cost of the coating material and widely applicable to various uses in which the water repellency effectively acts without limiting the uses. SOLUTION: This water repellent coating material comprises rigid microparticles having the surface treated with a hydrophobic silane coupling agent without containing fluorine, a binder resin for supporting the rigid microparticles on a substrate to be coated, at least a solvent for the binder resin and optionally an additive.
