PURPOSE: A method for inputting the data of a PDA is provided to input data by automatically activating a relating character or number item if a user touches a character pad or a number pad for inputting an address book. CONSTITUTION: A data input screen including a plurality of input items is displayed at a request for the data input(S11). At the time for inputting data through an input window, a style of the data input window is confirmed(S21). According to the confirmed style, the predetermined item among many input items is activated(S22). The confirmed character or number is displayed on the screen by confirming the character or number corresponding to the data inputted through the input window and linking the confirmed character or number with the relating input item. The confirmed character or number is stored in a DB by linking with the relating input item(S23).
