PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device for appropriately correcting an influence under a voltage drop caused by the wiring resistance of row wiring on a display panel. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a discrete correction data calculating part for setting a plurality of discrete reference values to inputted image data and calculating correction data in each of image data reference values, a correction data interpolating means for interpolating the correction data for each of discrete reference values and calculating correction data corresponding to the size of the inputted image data and an arithmetic means for operating the correction data calculated by the correction data interpolating means and the image data. The device is equipped with a control means with which whether a correction is to be performed with fidelity or preference is given to luminance can be set according to the kind of a video signal to be displayed, taste of a user or display mode of an image to control the size of the correction data according to setting. The control means is composed of a limiter or multiplier.
