The system, may be used to detect faults, with the prodn. of the material by weaving, circular or flat bed knitting etc. The sensors may be resistance or capacitance sensors and two like sensors can be located to sense at spaced points on the material, the difference in their outputs being compared electronically. A waring or stop motion may be triggered.
