PURPOSE:To improve the effect of removing processing dust and to eliminate the short circuit of wire electrodes by giving high-frequency vibration such as of ultrasonic waves to the wire electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A processing liquid is fed through nozzles 9a, 9b to a small gap between a wire electrode 1 transferring between guides and an object 2 to be processed, and the wire is electrified to carry out processing. At the same time, the electrode 1 or the object 2 is moved so as to process the object 2 in a desired form. During the processing, high-frequency vibration is given to the said electrode 1 by means of vibration devices 4a, 4b arranged on both sides of the object 2. Thus, processing dust is satisfactorily exhausted so as to eliminate the short-circuit of the electrode. |
