As legally required for sealing off sources of noise in industry, or as passive protection where work is carried out in noise-filled interiors, a sound-insulating hood or sound protective cubicle is assembled from structural elements. All these elements - such as walls, cover, doors, flaps, sound-insulators, and, if appropriate, floor, are in the form of composite panels (1) made of metal and wood-type material. These have a core layer (2) of the latter, and sheet metal layering (4,5) on both sides. The core can be of hard plywood, pref.beech, or chipboard, or hard fibre-board, with aluminium or steel plates cemented on.
|
