PURPOSE:To enable an exhaust part kept in negative pressure to be sealed off in a short time by a method wherein the exhaust part of the cooling device provided with a container in which a cooling medium is injected is sealed off by irradiating beams in high energy density after the operations of exhausting and filling the cooling medium having been finished. CONSTITUTION:The cooling device is constructed by a semiconductor rectifying device 1, a condenser 2, a Freon tank 11 and a stack unit 12 in which an element and fin are arranged in parallel, an exhaust opening 3 is formed in a part of the side of the device, and a Freon liquid is injected in the cooling device through the condenser 2 and the opening 3 is sealed off after the device inside being exhausted. With such a construction, a duct 4 housed with a focusing lens 10 is contacted with the opening 3 for sealing off, and the other end of the duct 4 is connected with a laser generating device 5. In addition, the duct 4 is kept connected with a vacuum pump 6 through a valve 7 and a Freon bomb 8 through a valve 9, the device inside is exhausted by the pump 6 at first and after the Freon liquid from the bomb 8 is injected in the device, the opening 3 is sealed by the molten metal produced by irradiating the laser rays 13 near the opening 3. |
