PURPOSE:To transfer a program stored in a ROM to a personal computer by connecting the program transfer device to the personal computer and selecting a specific ROM which is replaceable according to an indication from the personal computer. CONSTITUTION:The personal computer 15 sends a command which indicates the ROM kind code of a ROM pack 14 from which a program should be loaded to receive the reception program for receiving a program in the ROM pack 14 through a cassette terminal 17 according to the program in a ROM6. Received commands are analyzed by the control program in the ROM6 to recognize the kind of the ROM and an address for ROM kind retrieval is set to 2,000H. Then, a ROM label as the contents of the address is read in and compared with the indicated ROM kind code. When their coincidence is obtained, the label is checked and when the label is correct, the program in the ROM pack is transferred to the personal computer 15. |
