PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking by shrinkage on curing and drying during pouring by dividing the iron receiving port of a torpedo ladle car to a prescribed size in the circumferential direction and joining successively premolded blocks which are preliminarily molded of castable refractories and dried at a specific temp. thereto. CONSTITUTION:The iron receiving port 3 of the torpedo ladle car is circum ferentially divided to the prescribed size, for example, 8 parts. The premolded blocks 4-11 are annularly attached to the inside thereof. A pouring material 12 for the rear side of the blocks is packed between the premolded blocks 4-11 and the shell 1a of the torpedo ladle car body 1 and is dried at 300-500 deg.C to join successively the premolded blocks 4-11.
