PURPOSE:To optionally change the web width of an H shape steel by making roll chocks turnable against a roll frame for rolling an H shape steel stock having a web and flanges. CONSTITUTION:Supporting parts 5 support both a couple of top-shaped rolls 4 slantly supported by a top-shaped roll supporting part 2 or parts 2 and 3 installed on a roll chock 1 of an H shape steel stock rolling mill and a backup roll 6 for the couple of top-shaped rolls 4 installed on the roll chock 1. In rolling an H shape steel stock 8, the web inside width is spreaded by abutting the rolls 4 on flange inside faces and the web of the stock 8 having flanges by oppositely pushing the right and left top-shaped rolls 4, 4 and the backup roll 6 for the rolls 4 each other. In that case, the roll chock 1 is turned by a required angle to a frame 7 of the mill, so that a web inside width of the stocks 8 is optionally changeable with a web thickness kept to be a uniform value to eliminate many horizontal rolls used by conventional mills in accordance with changing web widths and to roll H shape steel stocks having respective different web widths. |
