The present invention relates to a stretched film made of a polyvinyl alcohol based resin including a lamellae-type crystal. The thickness L (nm) of the lamellae-type crystal calculated by a following equation (1) is 13.0 nm to 45.0 nm, by using a crystal fusion peak temperature T (K) measured by the differential scanning calorimetry of the stretched film. The stretched film used for manufacturing a polarizing film is provided. The equation (1) is L=0.66 x {516/(516-T)}. The stretched film with an excellent dyeing property can be provided.
