摘要 Methods for identifying subjects as candidates for embryo implantation are provided. In some embodiments, the methods include providing a sample of endometrium isolated from a subject during the second half of the subject's menstrual cycle and determining whether the subject is a candidate based on the expression of BCL6 in the sample. Also provided are methods for identifying an increased risk for implantation failure subsequent to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and/or frozen embryo transfer (FET), methods for detecting endometrial receptivity, methods for facilitating diagnoses of infertility, methods for increasing the likelihood of embryo implantation, methods for detecting the presence of endometriosis, and methods for managing treatment of subjects with potential endometriosis, subfertility, or both.

A method for identifying a subject as a candidate for implantation of an embryo, the method comprising: (a) providing a sample of endometrium from a subject, wherein the sample comprises endometrium isolated from the subject during the second half of the subject's menstrual cycle; (b) detecting a level of expression of a BCL6 gene product in the sample; (c) correlating the expression level of the BCL6 gene product in the sample with endometrial receptivity, wherein overexpression of the BCL6 gene product in the sample as compared to expression of the BCL6 gene product in a sample of similarly timed endometrium isolated from a normally fertile control subject is indicative of reduced receptivity of the endometrium in the subject; and (d) determining whether the subject is a candidate for implantation of an embryo based on the correlating step, wherein the determining step identifies the subject as a candidate for implantation of an embryo.
