The present invention relates to a method for producing an anode active material for a lithium cell. In order to improve the cyclization behavior of a lithium cell equipped with an anode active material produced by the method, an anode active material is lithiated and coated with carbon. The invention also relates to a corresponding anode active material, a chemical vapor deposition device and a lithium cell.
