A method, performing an assessment on reliability of a switching reluctance motor system using a third-order Markov model quantitative analysis, comprises: performing an analysis on system operation conditions for a switching reluctance motor drive system undergoing a first-order misoperation, a second-order misoperation, or a third-order misoperation to obtain 4 valid states and 1 invalid state in the first-order misoperation, 14 valid states and 4 invalid states in the second-order misoperation, and 43 valid states and 14 invalid states in the third-order misoperation, obtaining, by taking an initial normal state and a final invalid state into consideration, a total number of 62 valid states and 20 invalid states in the third-order Markov model, establishing a state transition diagram of the switching reluctance motor system undergoing the third-order misoperation, obtaining a state transition matrix, solving a valid state probability matrix P(t) of the system operating in valid states; computing a sum of all elements in the valid state probability matrix P(t) of the system operating in the valid states; computing, according to a reliability function R(t), an average no-misoperation duration. Therefore, the embodiment adopts the third-order Markov model quantitative analysis to realize the reliability assessment of the switching reluctance motor system, providing a favorable value in engineering applications. |
