PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful function.SOLUTION: When a printer 3 is connected to a host PC 2, the host pc 2 is configured so that an identification name acquisition unit 62 acquires a model name for identifying a type of the printer 3 from the printer 3, a function acquisition unit 64 acquires a function name corresponding to the model name acquired in the identification name acquisition unit 62 from a model-based functional tabel DB 40 formed by describing the model name of the printer 3 in association with the function name of the function corresponding to the printer 3 having the model name, and an identification name-based functional description file creation unit 66 creates a model-based PPD file 42 including an enabled functional description which corresponds to the function name acquired in the function acquisition unit 64, on the basis of a full-function PPD file 38 including functional descriptions corresponding to multiple kinds of printers. |
