PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a conveying device.SOLUTION: The conveying device includes: a pair of switchback rollers 35 for performing switchback conveying to a sheet entered from an inversion inlet route RI into a switchback route RS for feeding to an inversion outlet route RO; an inlet side upper guide plate 42 for guiding an upper surface of the sheet in the inversion inlet route RI; an outlet side upper guide plate 43 for guiding the upper surface of the sheet in the switchback route RS and the inversion outlet route RO; and a control unit for controlling the pair of switchback rollers 35. The route from the inversion inlet route RI to the switchback route RS bends at their confluence, and the sheet conveyed by a pair of the switchback rollers 35 is moved to the outlet side upper guide plate 43 side due to stiffness of the sheet after a rear end of the sheet passes the inlet side upper guide plate 42. The control unit decelerate a conveying speed of the sheet by a pair of the switchback rollers 35 before the rear end of the sheet passes the inlet side upper guide plate 42. |
