The present invention relates to a method of online detection of intentionally requested web addresses in a stream of web content requests, the method comprising the following steps:
- detecting a new web content request;
- creating a new complete item in the complete cache with a first set of data of the new web content request;
- applying a preliminary test on the web content request,
- if the preliminary test has a positive result:
o updating the candidate cache according to the data contained in the web content request;
o checking if the candidate cache has candidate items older than a time threshold;
o applying a detection test on the candidate items older than the time threshold, the detection test having a positive result if the candidate item is elected as intentionally requested;
o retrieving from the complete cache data relative to the elected candidate items.
