PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine valve train capable of suppressing such a pump-up phenomenon that a plunger elongates too much during the operation of an exhaust brake to form a negative valve clearance.SOLUTION: An engine valve train 70 includes an engaging member 130 for engaging with a return spring 110 of a lash adjuster 71, and a solenoid 120 for moving the engaging member in the expanding direction of the lash adjuster. In order to avoid the return spring from elongating during the operation of the exhaust brake of an engine 1 to form the negative valve clearance, the solenoid is energized during the operation of the exhaust brake so that the solenoid attracts the engaging member to suppress the elongation of the return spring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
