Provided is a management system for a battery that operates in an intermittent charge/discharge mode in which at least one of an operation of alternating charging with suspension or an operation of alternating discharging with suspension is performed, the management system having: a state estimation means for estimating the remaining charge of the battery; an overcurrent protection means for protecting the battery from an overcurrent; an overvoltage protection means for protecting the battery from an overvoltage; an integrating means for integrating a voltage-converted signal obtained by converting a charge-discharge current of the battery into a voltage, and outputting the result as an integral signal; and a first analog-to-digital conversion means for converting the integral signal to a digital signal. The state estimation means estimates the remaining charge by calculating the amount of charge/discharge on the basis of the digital signal from the first analog-to-digital conversion means.
