PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick-coating apparatus which forms a coated material such as a varnish by thick coating.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a stencil original sheet which is a screen printing plate formed by laminating a thermoplastic resin film on a mesh-like support having a plurality of minute mesh openings where a bore is formed by boring the resin film; a plate cylinder which has a cylindrical peripheral wall having a plurality of passing openings where the bored stencil original sheet is wound on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical peripheral wall; a squeegee blade which is arranged so as to be brought into slide-contact with the inner peripheral surface of the plate cylinder so as to be inclined, and pushes out a coating material which is supplied between the inner peripheral surface of the plate cylinder and the squeegee blade; and a contact roller which is arranged so as to face the squeegee blade via the plate cylinder and the stencil original sheet, and brings a sheet of paper into close contact with the stencil original sheet wound on the plate cylinder. Accompanied by the rotation of the plate cylinder, the coating material fills the mesh openings of the stencil original sheet by the squeegee blade through the passing openings of the plate cylinder, and the filling coating material is pushed out from the bore to coat the sheet of paper. |
