A heat pump hot water dispenser includes a heat pump cycle device 50 connecting at least a compressor 51, a refrigerant-water heat exchanger 52, a pressure reducing device 53, and an evaporator 54 by pipes, the refrigerant-water heat exchanger 52 being configured to allow refrigerant and water to exchange heat, a flow rate detection unit 40 for detecting a flow rate of water flowing through the refrigerant-water heat exchanger 52, and a control unit 60 for controlling operation of the heat pump cycle device 50. The control unit 60 is configured to determine an occurrence of abnormal water supply disruption and suspend the operation of the heat pump cycle device 50 when a flow rate of water detected by the flow rate detection unit 40 continues to be lower than a threshold for a set time period T1 or longer. |
