PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiglare film having a quarter wave plate, which is free from the occurrence of crosstalk due to internal scattering of an antiglare layer itself, and an antiglare film which is free from the degradation of wet heat-durable adhesion even when an antiglare layer is directly provided on a quarter wave plate provided with an optical anisotropic film in order to control a retardation Rt in a thickness direction.SOLUTION: An antiglare film has an antiglare layer provided on a substrate film having an in-plane retardation Ro(550) within a range of 100 to 160 nm and an orientation angle &thetas; within a range of 40 to 50° in a lengthwise direction of the substrate film. The antiglare layer has projecting shapes, and the projecting shapes are not uniform and are aperiodically and irregularly arranged in the lengthwise direction of the substrate film, and the antiglare layer has arithmetic average roughness Ra of 25 to 300 nm, and haze caused by internal scattering in the antiglare film is 0 to 1.0%. |
