The present invention relates to a method to measure a length of an electrode bar of an electric furnace in real time. The method comprises: an initial length measuring step of measuring an initial length of an electrode bar; an added length measuring step of measuring an added length of the electrode bar by screwing down a paste; a consumed length measuring step of measuring a consumed length of the electrode bar in an electric furnace; and an electrode bar length measuring step of measuring the length of the electrode bar by calculating the initial length of the electrode bar with the added length and the consumed length. As such, the method is capable of continuously performing work without suspension of work by preventing side effects such as a degradation of molten temperature by measuring the length of the electrode bar in real time. |
