PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device and the like, which are capable of uniformly charging a photoreceptor by using a simple configuration to cause brush hairs of a charging-brush roll to contact, with little gap, a surface of the photoreceptor.SOLUTION: A charging device includes: a charging-brush roll that is a roll-shaped charging brush provided so as to erect multiple brush hairs on the circumference of the rotating shaft and charges the photoreceptor by the rotating shaft rotating so as to pass the multiple brush hairs in contact on the surface of the rotating photoreceptor throughout the axis direction, with the rotating shaft supplied with a charging voltage; and a vibration provision member for causing the brush hairs to elastically warp-deform by contacting the brush hairs in the state of the member biting into the charging-brush roll throughout the axis direction and causing the brush hairs to contact with the surface of the photoreceptor in the state of the brush hairs vibrating due to restitutive force against the elastic deformation. |
