<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing allowing a user to recognize a printed image not only from one face but from the other face of a fabric while suppressing ink bleeding. <P>SOLUTION: An ink-jet printing apparatus 1 includes: a printing head 3 which forms a printed image by ejecting ink C onto one side surface 7 of a material T to be printed; and a coating member 5 which coats the other side surface 9 of the material T to be printed with a penetrant S by contacting of a coating action part 11 to the surface 9. The coating action part 11 is provided in at least one region of: a region M to be subjected to ejection including a region facing a nozzle array 6 of the printing head and subjected to ejection from the head; an upstream side region L positioned on an upstream side of the region M in a transporting direction of the material T; and a downstream side region N positioned on a downstream side of the region M in the transporting direction of the material T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
