1. A malodor eliminating composition for an orally consumable end product, consisting essentially of:
(a) at least one Group A eliminating compound selected from the group consisting of damascenone, damascone beta, trans-2-hexenal, citral, acetophenone, and combinations thereof; (b) from about 0.001% to about 99% weight by weight of at least one Group B eliminating compound selected from the group consisting of eugenol, thymol, and combinations thereof; (c) a diol solvent selected from the group consisting of 3-(1-menthoxy)propane-1,2-diol, p-menthane-3,8-diol, propylene glycol, and combinations thereof; and (d) a malodor masking compound selected from the group consisting of ethyl butyl, menthol, anisyl acetate, ethyl acetate, phenethyl alcohol, ethyl 2-methyl butyrate, ethyl butyrate, citrus oils, peppermint oil, spearmint oil, oil of wintergreen, cinnamon, ginger, and combinations thereof,wherein the composition does not contain a flavor enhancer or a polyphenol and wherein the at least one Group A and at least one Group B compounds are provided in synergistically effective amounts to eliminate malodor. |
