The present invention relates to a security device for authentication which enables setting patterns of particular form for authentication transactions, lets primary authentication by inputting the patterns during authentication transactions, and enables secondary authentication by using a randomly provided authentication number, which comprises: a storage unit which stores pattern information for generating security information for financial transactions, generated by a user; a user interface unit which outputs security information generation request signal for financial transactions according to the user′s control, provides authentication information input request message for generating security information for financial transactions that is to be externally inputted, outputs pattern input screen that is provided corresponding to authentication information input request message, and provides authentication information input screen that outputs pattern information that is inputted via pattern input screen; and a control unit which provides pattern input screen as a response to security generation request for financial transactions that is inputted from the user interface unit, determines whether the received pattern information outputted via the user interface unit matches the pattern information that is stored in a storage unit, and generates and provides security information for financial transactions when they match. Thus, there is an effect of preventing illegal authenticated transactions. |
