The present invention relates to a heat insulation apparatus of a rolled material and a method thereof. The heat insulation apparatus comprises: a blower which supplies flue gas, which is a heat source, to a heat an insulation pit; the heat insulation pit which loads a rolled material, and raises or keeps a temperature of the rolled material by the flue gas supplied from the blower; a temperature detecting unit which detects the temperature of each height, the temperature of each width, and the temperature of the flue gas supplied through the blower in the heat insulation pit; a damper driving unit which controls an opening of a damper installed in the inlet side of each plurality of flue gas supply pipes to supply flue gas to the heat insulation pit; a blower driving unit which controls the on/off state of the blower and the rotation of a fan; and a control unit which controls the heating and insulating temperature of the rolled material loaded on the heat insulation pit by controlling the feed rate of the flue gas supplied to the heat insulation pit through the damper driving unit and the blower driving unit based on the temperature of the flue gas and the temperature distribution of the inside of the heat insulation pit detected through the temperature detecting unit. |
