PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the deviation of a detection current of a current detection circuit which detects a drive current of a fuel injection valve.SOLUTION: An ECU 30 calculates a peak current arrival time Tp' (time up to the arrival of a detection current at a peak current Ip), and calculates a prescribed current arrival difference time ΔTth (time up to the lowering of the detection current below a prescribed current Ith after exceeding the prescribed current Ith). Then, by using a relationship between the pre-stored prescribed current arrival difference time ΔTth and a regulated peak current arrival time Tp, the ECU calculates the regulated peak current arrival time Tp which corresponds to the current prescribed current arrival difference time ΔTth. By comparing the current peak current arrival time Tp' and the regulated peak current arrival time Tp by using the regulated peak current arrival time Tp, (for example, by calculating a difference ΔTp between the circuit peak current arrival time Tp' and the regulated peak current arrival time Tp), the ECU determines the deviation of a detection current of a current detection circuit 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
