The present invention relates to a device for sensing rising and falling movement of a tool port of an automatic tool exchange apparatus. The device can protect a proximity sensor from outside pollution and enables a user to check the condition of a load bar and the proximity sensor by using an observation window. The automatic tool exchange apparatus includes: the tool port which stores tools; a tool magazine storing the tool port; the load bar which lifts the tool port up or down; a tool port raising/lowering cylinder which drives the load bar; the device for sensing the rising and falling movement of the tool port, which is installed to surround the upper part of the load bar to sense the rising and falling movement of the tool port; twin arms which exchange tools with the tool port; and a twin arm driving motor which drives the twin arms. |
