Method and apparatus for correcting systematic DF errors

The method involves determining bearing residues (24) between a measured bearing angle (10) or pre-corrected bearing angle and bearing angle associated to a determined target position at a measuring time point. A sensor-specific correction table (14) for pre-correction of the measured bearing angle is created or updated based on the bearing residues determined for reception antennas (1). Systematic bearing faults of the measured bearing angle of bearing correction values of the correction table corresponding to the reception antennas are corrected. An independent claim is also included for a device for correction of systematic bearing faults of an acoustic bearing system.
