PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting production method for low carbon high manganese steel, in which upon decarbonization refining during vacuum degassing refining, even if high carbon manganese alloy is supplied, increment in carbon concentration in molten steel and reduction in temperature of molten steel would hardly occur.SOLUTION: There is provided a melting production method for steel with vacuum degassing device comprising a path arranged on axis center of lance and passing oxygen blown to molten steel; a center hole consisting of a nozzle jetting the oxygen at tip end of the path; and an upward lance consisting of burner capable of forming fire with oxygen containing gas and fuel. Carbon containing manganese alloy is jetted together with transferring gas from the nozzle of center hole tip and the carbon containing manganese alloy is simultaneously heated with fire formed by the burner on the peripheral hole tip so as to make decarbonization and supply it to molten steel from upward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
