Disclosed is an ice maker. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ice maker includes: an ice tray including partitioned spaces used to store ice making water therein; an ejector which separates ice in the ice tray from the water; an ice storage container which stores the ice separated by the ejector; a fully frozen state sensing device which senses whether the water in the ice storage container is fully frozen; a side cover which is formed on a side surface of the ice tray; and a lower cover which is formed on the lower part of the ice tray. The fully frozen state sensing device moves up and down between the ice tray and the side cover. The lower cover includes a release prevention structure formed thereon to prevent the fully frozen state sensing device from being released.
