The present invention comprises: a brake pedal (2) which is capable of pivoting from an initial position in relation to a dash panel (100) in a predetermined angle range; a pair of base plates (4) which are fixed to the dash panel (100), and which sandwich and pivotably support the brake pedal (2); a ratchet plate (31) in which ratchet teeth (31f) are continuously formed, and which pivots together with the brake pedal (2); a support pin (34) which couples the pair of base plates (4); and a ratchet pole (32) which is supported by the support pin (34) in a manner so as to be capable of oscillation, and which meshes with the ratchet plate (31). The support pin (34) and the ratchet pole (32) are disposed between attachment points (P1, P2) at the dash panel side of the base plates (4) and a centre pin (G) of the brake pedal (2). |
