PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position indicator of a configuration that is capable of being thinned.SOLUTION: A position indicator including a first electrode for receiving an AC signal from a position detection sensor, and a second electrode transmitting the AC signal to the position detection sensor comprises: a center electrode 5 that is provided in such a way that one end side protrudes externally from an opening part of a cylindrical housing 1 to be formed into a pen shape, and is formed of a conductive member constituting one of a first electrode or a second electrode; a peripheral electrode 2 that is provided so as to surround an area around the center electrode 5, and is formed of a conductive member constituting other of the first electrode or the second electrode; and a cylindrical shield member 6 that house a part surrounded by at least the peripheral electrode 2 of the center electrode 5 in a hollow part. The shield member 6 is configured by an insulation layer being formed on an inner wall face and outer wall face of a cylindrical conductor corresponding to the part surrounded by the at least peripheral electrode 2 of the center electrode 5, and a cylinder body 61 mad up of a conductive material is connected to a ground of a circuit part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
