The present invention relates to an active air flap apparatus of a vehicle, comprising a front end module (FEM), a wheel guard, a first housing and an active air flap module. The FEM is installed on the front surface of a chassis frame. The wheel guard is installed on the lateral surface of the chassis frame to cover a tire. The first housing is mounted on the front surface of the FEM. The active air flap module is mounted on the housing. When the active air flap module is opened toward at least one among the FEM and the wheel guard to allow outer air to be introduced inside the housing, the active air flap module shields the inflow of the air with respect to the other one among the FEM and the wheel guard. Firstly, according to the present invention, the sufficient amount of air is introduced from the wheel guard of the vehicle into the tire through a radiator grille, a bumper grille or the like such that the flow rate of the tire can be secured, thereby improving aerodynamic performance. An air curtain is unfolded with the air introduced through the radiator grille and the bumper grille such that an air curtain duct, which is conventionally installed on a bumper, can be unnecessary, thereby improving the design of the bumper. Moreover, mileage can be saved by reducing air resistance against the tire. |
