PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a silver halide emulsion using no gelatin or scarcely using gelatin, and a production method of conductive film having an improved resistance value by using the above production method of a silver halide emulsion.SOLUTION: The production method of a silver halide emulsion includes: a particle formation step of mixing a water-soluble silver salt and a water-soluble halide in the presence of a water-soluble polymer (A) having a total nitrogen atom content of 4 mass% or less to form silver halide particles; and a deionization step of reducing a pH of the solution containing the above silver halide particles to 4 or lower in the presence of a water-soluble polymer (B) having a carboxyl group and having a total nitrogen atom content of 4 mass% or less to aggregate the silver halide particles and to deionize the particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
