<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorinated carbon nanofiber that retains high conductivity and is excellent in dispersibility, a method for producing the same, and applications thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the fluorinated carbon nanofiber comprises fluorinating a carbon nanofiber, in which the oxygen content is controlled to 1-5 wt.% by oxidation treatment, by bringing the same into contact with fluorine-containing gas having fluorine gas concentration of 10-50 vol.%. Preferably, a mixed gas of fluorine gas and nitrogen gas and/or argon gas is used, and the treatment is carried out at a temperature ranging from room temperature to 100°C, thereby obtaining the fluorinated carbon nanofiber that retains high conductivity and is excellent in dispersibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
