PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic wave device which has excellent reliability.SOLUTION: An elastic wave device includes: a piezoelectric substrate 1 which propagates elastic waves; IDT electrodes 2 disposed on a main surface of the piezoelectric substrate 1; a frame body 6 which encloses the IDT electrodes 2 disposed on the main surface of the piezoelectric substrate 1; a lid 7 disposed on the frame body 6; an insulation layer 11 disposed on the lid 7; and external connection electrodes 10 which are disposed in through holes penetrating through the lid 7 and the insulation layer 11 and electrically connect with the IDT electrodes 2. An upper end of the external connection electrode 10 is positioned in a middle of the through hole when viewed in a thickness direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
