PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a soundproof material which is light in weight and excellent in sound absorption properties and sound insulation performance.SOLUTION: A sheet-like base material comprising a fiber body is formed by entanglement of fibers A mainly comprising ultra-fine fibers, fibers B mainly comprising heat-fusible fibers, and 0 to 20 wt.% of fibers C mainly comprising short fibers by an opening machine by either of a fleece machine or a carding machine. One surface of the base material is heated at 100 to 240°C and retained for 0.5 to 10 seconds while being pressurized to a prescribed thickness, thereby forming a plate-like soundproof material having an air permeability adjustment film with a high density on the one surface of the base material. The plate-like soundproof material having the air permeability adjustment film formed is heated in a heating oven at 150 to 180°C for 15 to 60 seconds, thereby making the plate-like soundproof material easily formable in a state in which the air permeability adjustment film is formed. The heated plate-like soundproof material is compression-formed while being cooled in a press die having the shape of a vehicular interior material into the vehicular interior material having the air permeability adjustment film arranged on a vehicle cabin side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
