摘要 The present invention relates to a drive mechanism for a drug delivery device and to a respective drug delivery device, wherein the drive mechanism comprises: —an elongated housing (20) extending in an axial direction (1, 2), a piston rod (70) to operably engage with a piston (16) of a cartridge (14) to displace the piston (16) in an axial distal direction (1), —a drive sleeve (50) rotatably supported in the housing (20) and being operably releasable from the piston rod (70) for setting of a dose and being operably engageable with the piston rod (70) for dispensing of the dose, —a dose limiting member (60) engaged with the drive sleeve (50) and engaged with the piston rod (70) in such a way, that it is displaced in axial direction (1, 2) relative to the drive sleeve (50) when the drive sleeve (50) rotates relative to the piston rod (70) during a dose setting procedure, and at least one stop (42, 56; 78) to engage with the dose limiting member (60) for limiting the axial displacement of the dose limiting member (60) during the dose setting procedure and to impede further displacement of the drive sleeve (50) relative to the piston rod (70).
