PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which prevents discharge of sheets exceeding the loadable number to a discharge part by periodically detecting the loading height of the sheets in a discharge destination of the printed sheets and correcting the loadable number of copies.SOLUTION: A printer periodically detects the loading height of the sheets loaded on a discharge part set as a discharge destination, corrects the remaining loadable number of copies from the detected loading height and the number of sheets included in one copy in a print job in execution every time the loading height is detected, and changes the discharge destination so that the loading height of the discharge part set as the discharge destination does not exceed the loadable number of copies in the middle of one copy in accordance with the corrected loadable number of copies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
