A water culture device (100) comprising a culture tank (6) that encloses an underground space (16) integrally with a ground surface part (7) partitioning between the underground space (16) and an above-ground space (26), a light irradiation part (5) that is controlled into a light state of irradiating a plant (1) with light and a dark state of not irradiating the plant (1) with light, an above-ground temperature detection part (8) that detects the temperature in the above-ground space (26), an above-ground temperature adjustment part (90) that adjusts the temperature in the above-ground space (26), and a control part (50) that controls the above-ground temperature adjustment part (90) on the basis of information relating to the temperature in the above-ground space (26) detected by the above-ground temperature detection part (8) while controlling the light irradiation part (5), wherein the control part (50) controls the above-ground temperature adjustment part (90) so that the temperature in the above-ground space (26) is lower in the dark state than in the light state. |
